ARDUINO PAGE

Interested in Arduinos but not sure how to get started? Or have you dabbled a little bit with them but are looking for more resources to help you grow? Then you've come to the right place. The activities and resources below will help you grow into an independent tinker! Also, never hesitate to just Google your issue. It's amazing how many resources there are out there for!

GETTING STARTED WITH ARDUINOS

Mr. Z's ARDUINO TUTORIALS
These self-guided activities will help you develop a basic working understanding of Arduinos and physical computing. I'm working on the answer keys to these activities. If you don't have access to materials (like the Arduino, LEDs, breadboards, resistors, etc.), use 123D Circuits - awesome tool!

Further Explorations (these are not structured activities, but rather a list of available resources to learn more about each item)
NOTE: Other teachers, feel free to email me if you'd like to see diagrams and sample code related to each of these explorations (I have guides for most of these)

DOWNLOADABLE TEXTS FOR LEARNING TO USE ARDUINOS:

  • Getting Started with Arduino: Download it Here
    • Great introduction to what an Arduino is and what it can be used for. Not an indepth tutorial though. Just good for getting your feet wet.

  • Introduction to the Arduino: Download it Here
    • A more detailed, straight-forward tutorial on how to use the Arduino.

  • Beginning Arduino Programming: Download it Here
    • Good book for beginners to learn how to use an Arduino

  • Arduino Programming Notebook:
    • This manual is a bit like a dictionary for the Arduino programming language. It goes through the significant names of functions, data types, and other programming-related structures for the Arduino and explains how they work. Great resource to refer to when you're reading other people's code or trying to figure out how to use the Arduino to do something new.
